CHIRP gives healthcare organisations a structure for cyber incidents that disrupt patient care. Its argument is that the hard part is not the technical response. it is coordinating cybersecurity, IT recovery, clinical operations, communications and legal into a single response while care is still being delivered.
It is written to be adapted rather than adopted: each organisation tunes it to its own structure and risk tolerance.
